What is the best color to paint wicker bedroom furniture?
I bought a used wicker bedroom set. It is white and I want to paint it. My bedroom colors are brown and olive green. I thought about painting it dark brown. Should I leave it white? Another choice was a nice green color. Decision, decisions. I need help. What are your suggestions? Will it be too much to paint it a sage. Decorators I am waiting for your reply.

try target or walmart. i have a set in white my granma got at some furnishure store and i hate it, but recently i’ve been wrting all over it, so yeah. lol. but tis’ cheaply made. so just make sure u actually see it before u buy it, don’t shop online for it.

Ikea, or Crate and Barrell. Both are available online. Be sure and check out the measurements in your apartment first though, to make sure all will accomodate. Also, Pier One online has some beautiful headboards at great prices, along with the bed frames. If you have one great piece, such as a beautiful headboard, you can “hunt” for everything else to accent it, like thrift shops, flea markets, or garage sales. Also, The Company Store online has great down comforters at good prices. Have fun and Good Luck!~

I messed up & need some advice?
In a nutshell: I was a goody two shoes who married the bad boy in the band. Now that we’ve both grown up we’re both miserable.
Long version:
My husband and I met 7 years ago. I was 18-19ish, he was 22. I was kind of a hyper goody-two-shoes nutcase. He was older, mellow, a bit of a bad boy, and much more popular than I. He kind of looked like a mischievous Leonardo DiCaprio (my idol). I was ecstatic when he showed an interest in me. Three years later we married.
The first time we hung out my husband invited me over to his buddy’s house. They were in a garage band, my husband was the drummer. He offered me a joint. He asked “do you smoke?” Not wanting to look stupid I said “yeah. Sure.” and did my best to hit it like a pro. I was blazed that night. And the night after that. And every night I hung out with him. We started hanging out a lot. We hung out with his friends too. I was having a blast. But also having a hard time keeping a decent GPA, lost my scholarship and eventually dropped out of college.
Fast forward to six years later. I’m 25. He’s 28. The years of the garage band are over. He’s an AC repair guy. I’m in furniture sales. We live in a 2 bedroom apartment with no kids.
I looked back on my life and it makes my stomach churn. I blew the full ride scholarship I worked my bum off for in high school (model UN). I blew my career goals. I was haggling with a client over the number of rails on a bunk bed when it hit me – I’ve messed up. This is NOT what I want.
No point in sobbing. At 25 years old I felt I still had time to fix it. So I made a list of things I wanted to accomplish and I just went at it. I quit smoking weed (that was a big one). I quit smoking cigarettes. I started exercising & eating right. And enrolled for college. Etc.
The problem is my husband and I live in two completely different worlds now. He wants his old wife back. He wants the wife who’d come home, kick of her shoes, light up a joint with him, order a pizza, snuggle on the sofa until we went to bed. Not the wife who burst through the door in a frenzy, whip up a low calorie stir fry, takes the dog on a jog, and spends nights studying for exams.
We’re both lonely. The friends we used to hang out with a year ago don’t invite us over anymore because of me. They feel since I quit smoking it’s not the same. The people I’m friends with now are so different than my husband. He doesn’t feel comfortable coming out with us when we go places. So I’ve stopped going places. And so has he. He’s depressed I can tell. His life is a never ending cycle of work, weed and xbox. He doesn’t even play his drums anymore. They’re collecting dust in the garage. He took a college class with me then dropped out. He tried to quit smoking weed with me but broke down. He eats what I cook but gets fast food too because he gets the munchies. He doesn’t have the motivation to exercise with me. When we hang out together we literally just sit and stare at each other with nothing to say.
What would you do?
Did you marry him in the fog of drugs? Were you able to make that vow and mean it then?
If so be true to it.
Each and both of you need to make a decision that the marriage is worth saving.
He does not have to become a health and exercise nut for it to work but serious counseling is in order, nonetheless.
This can be an ending or a starting point for a much better relationship. That depends on how bad you both want it.
I would deal with the depression first. Otherwise there is no doubt he will not have the hope, drive or confidence to make things work, even if he wanted it. Obviously he wanted to try but he may not feel up to it.
Don’t decide at this low ebb. A good doctor may prescribe an anti-depressant to help him, along with both your efforts, to help him get out of his funk. There is a good chance the medicine would be temporary helping him have a fighting chance against the chemical changes in his body.
Everything looks one-sided now but if he is a good man, help him get healthy too.
You both may still decide to part ways but at least you were faithful and did not leave him behind when he could have used your support.

How do you update Solid maple bedroom furniture?
What would look better, white or black? Do I keep the hardware and change the color or change it. That would be expensive if you could find some that worked? How do I change the color. Stain ot paint?
You will have to decide what will look better with the colours in your room/decor. You can stain the maple darker, but I would suggest painting it either white or black.As I said, it will depend on your room colour, bedding colour, floor colour, etc…you can go with an off white too if you prefer a softer look. I would not stain it, as it does not have the grain like oak or ash, but you can go darker with the stain if you prefer to give it a different look.

What bedroom furniture goes well with a black metal bed frame?
My style is definitely not traditional, but some vintage things catch my attention. For example, I just love the romantic idea of a wrought iron bed. Mostly, I prefer contemporary design and need help coordinating something more modern with this kind of bed. What have you seen that looks neat?
Anything goes with black, but how about trying pine wood furniture, you don’t have to go for real pine, you could try imitation pine.
